We are not crazy about turkey, so it may be chicken. We still have all the usual sides and end with pie. For my husband there is only one kind of pie--apple. I love all kinds, especially pumpkin for Thanksgiving. One year I ate the whole pie myself. Course, it took a week, but I loved every morsel. Our tradition--Mass in the morning to thank God, then dinner, then a day of relaxation doing whatever.Love Holidays

We do turkey for the main. But we also have ham, potatoes, green beans, stuffing, lots of desserts. Everyone brings something. Our family loves to sit down and play games when the table is cleared. We try and find a new game every year.blessed

Thanksgiving is a favorite of mine. The kids and grandkids come home, and we enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Turkey, dressing(my moms recipe), mashed potatoes & gravy, dinner rolls, cranberry jewel salad and pumpkin pie. The kids usually bring a side dish. We remember our blessings, and are thankful for our family!Southside

I asked her for the recipe and she said there isn't a recipe. It was handed down by watching her mom make it and so on and nobody would write it down. I guess they always thought there would be someone to keep it going. She's gone now and so is the recipe. My guess is, that dressing had a lot of love in it.Usually...
