COLUMBUS -- Dressed in a red jacket and white sneakers, Lucille Kopetzky was ready to start pounding the pavement.

She had on sunglasses, a dollop of sunblock on her nose and a water bottle in hand for her daily jaunt. Kopetzky tracks about three miles each day. A health scare got the 79 year old on the move.

About four years ago, the Columbus woman suffered congestive heart failure, a shock to the normally healthy grandmother.

“Up to age of 75 I had been in very good health. I didn’t even have a bottle of aspirin in the house,” Kopetzky said.

Oh, this story really touched me. I really am happy to see this nice lady working hard day in and day out. Three miles is a long walk! I get tired walking up the stairs. Its good to see people stay active. It seems now days you just dont see someoneone walking outdoors anymore, enjoying nature at its finest even though it gets pretty cold and hot in nebraska.
Lucille keep it up!!!

Keep going!!! I walk 30 minutes every day and feel sooo much better. I wish all people would take just a few minutes a day to walk. Maybe less doctor visits and enjoy nature.
