SHIIP, drug event slated for center

COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Senior Center will hold a Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) and Medicare Prescription Drug-part D Open Enrollment event from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 17-18.

To enroll or switch plans, bring Medicare card, medications list, dosage amount and times daily taken information. An appointment is required. To schedule or for more information, call the Columbus Senior Center at 564-9293.

Thanksgiving dinner at center

COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Senior Center will have a Thanksgiving dinner at noon Nov. 24.

The menu will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, gravy, cranberry relish, pumpkin pie and beverage.

Reservations are required by 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20.

Toe nail trim available at center

COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Senior Center will offer toe nail trimming clinic for senior citizens from 1-3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Blood pressure clinics at center

COLUMBUS -- A free blood pressure clinic is held from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Columbus Senior Center.

No appointment is necessary.
