It's all good, but stop the cringe factor and remember, it is an "Italian" restaurant not an "Eye-talian" restaurant. There's no such place as "Eye-taly."Capisce?

Is it going to be downtown? Maybe run by the little Polish guy? Or, by the tatoo artist?Ready to eat

I was told it would be below the Evans Hotel where the Mexican place was.I am so happy it is not another Mexican, Pizza or sandwich shop.
So just think go down town and you can eat at Dusters, the Mexican place, Pickett fence or the Italian place.
I was sure it would not be by Columbus Music Mr. Mayor does not want his place to smell like tomato sauce. Bad enough to have egg on your face but then to smell of tomato sauce on top of that would just be too much.

So the Telegram starts a blog about a new Italian restaurant coming to town (it's about time---I got on this thread to complain that Columbus doesn't have an Italian restaurant)...but they don't give an article telling us the name, where it's going to be, or who's opening it...odd news reporting.Smarty Jones

The sign is up downtown where El Tapatio USED to be. Been waiting a long time for some diversity hope it does well.

My husband and I have been saying Columbus needs some real Italian eateries. Favorites would be Chicken Soto, Bruscetta drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, risotto with saffron, Colomba Pasquale...and top it all off with a bit of real Italian espresso.Mmmmmmmm
