How many of the 300 sellout games did you attend? What are your favorite memories of Husker games? Any interesting anecdotes from those games?

Just being there enjoying the atmosphere and cheering them on, win or lose. That's what a real fan does.

The first game I went to at Memorial Stadium was against the Baylor Bears in the late 70's. It was raining almost the whole day and not real warm but we won and it was fun.

Since then I have gone to three Baylor games in Waco (I now live in Texas) and it has been raining each and every time. We won those games too but Baylor fans are almost as good as Husker fans; very nice, even after a lopsided loss to NU.

The day of the terrible ice storm in Columbus, many years ago, my husband and son-in-law went to the game. It was a big game - maybe - the Colorado or Oklahoma game. Plans were that I would stay home with promises of taping the game. Our power went out and I spent the afternoon wondering what in the world to do. It was so dark, I couldn't read, no housework no nothing. I would go out to the car radio periodically to check the score. Upon arriving back into town, the guys saw all the fallen trees and the power trucks and knew the answer. I just shook my head "no" I didn't get it taped. Was a very long afternoon. We had no power the rest of the night and our neighbor brought over firewood so we could start the fireplace. Our little grandson and family slept in front of the fireplace all night.

Used to go to alot of the games back in the day when tickets were still cheap. Attended the very 1st night game. Was on the 50 yd. line 5 rows up when Turner Gill threw 5 TD passes against UCLA. $18 tickets, aww those were the days. Then off to the Sweep Left lounge and upstairs to Peter McQues, where the ladies were HOT and the drinks were CoLd

To "1 I didnt attend" I remember that game and day also. I was at Bob & Betty Earlys, when the tree branches started to come down, WOW! They went to Pat's rentals and rented a generater jst to finish watching the game. Got so "relaxed" LoL that I dont remember who even won. But it sure was a good time. Thanks for that memory.

Years ago, we had the opportunity to fly to the Nebraska-Missouri game in a small engine plane. My first small plane experience was a little nerve wracking for on approaching the Lincoln airport, the sky was full of planes everywhere.

Took the airport shuttle to the game with lots of Missouri fans and WE LOST for the first time in years and years! We had to ride back to the airport with all those Missouri fans and they were soooo elated that they had finally beat Nebraska. You would have thought each one of them had just won the lottery. To this day, if we beat Missouri, I consider it a successful season!

I could be wrong for the first time ever but I believe a "sellout" just means that all the tickets were sold not that everyone showed up to watch the game or even stayed for the whole game. It always funny when they announce the attendance it is never the same for any 2 games not sure if they count the media and or press box or just the average Joe's ticket ?

I have gone to probably 4-5 games. The best one was several years ago when I took my son to his very first Husker game. He was in awe!!! I think we played Wake Forest. He had more fun watching the hot dog shooter and Lil Red!!

I attended two Husker games - one in 1998, the homecoming game, with my now-husband, it was a nice game, i think we left during the 4th quarter. The other was with my mother and siblings, during the 80s. I have NO idea who we played, I was probably 10 or so so that stuff didn't stand out ot me, but it was SO COLD in the stands that despite being in winter coats AND sleeping bags, we FROZE miserably for three quarters before we finally went home.
