If I want to know the truth I watch Fox News. If I want lies I watch CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC. I don't watch the main stream media. Can't stand the way they, well won't go there.Uh...no
Sep 16, 2009 7:57 AM
Fox News is a joke. It is not "fair and balanced" and it's the last place in the world I'd go for objective news reporting. Virtually every public poll on media bias indicates that Americans both inside and outside of the media believe Fox has a right wing bias; much more so that those who believe that CNN or MSNBC has a liberal bias. Fox is the news station for the tinfoil hat wearing crowd that calls more objective news reporting sources "biased" because they dare to expose conservative ideas to the scrutiny and critique they deserve. If I want propaganda, news with a spin, or just want to be told how to think, I would be watching Fox. Their motto may be "we report-you decide", but the fact is they've decided what kind of spin to put on the news before it hits the air. I prefer to think for myself rather than have Rupert Murdoch and his minions do it for me. Unfortunately CNN, with opinion shows like "Lou Dobbs Tonight", is slowly but surely sinking into the sewer alongside Fox. I'd rather watch MSNBC but they have a decided left of center slant to their reporting so all that is left is the network newscasts. I don't like Katie Couric on CBS and Charlie Gibson is retiring at the end of the year to be replaced by Diane Sawyer, so the only game in town is Brian Williams on NBC, who I believe to be the best in the business at present.
The BBC
Sep 16, 2009 10:02 AM
Everwatch the BBC do American news stories. (It's British Broadcasting, in case you didn't know). They do some excellent stories without any slant. Also, if you want a magazine that gives you the best unbiased, realistic view of American news, politics and such, read the Economist. (published in europe)
Funny, you have to go overseas to get truly unbiased reporting on american issues.
Faux News is for losers

Faux NewsTheir motto should be
We distort, you comply.
snopes.com is filled with all kinds of lies and misinformation that was first reported by faux news and re-reported into the blogs by the drones who believe them.
Anybody who watches faux news doesn't want to live in reality.

I watch all my news online. NBC and ABC world news. Fox is just ok. Katie Couric is terrible and needs to be fired.Podcasts, the greatest thing ever. You even get the NBC broadcast before it hits the old fashion TV.

jeff immett is no better and anything owned or supported by GE is a sham. snopes has found just as many errors on the lib media side. it all comes down to use your judgement. i feel fox hammers just as many repubs as it does dems. i just cant stomach chris matthews and that idiot that does the countdown. there is spin on every station including bbca just use your best judgement. reporting in this day and age is dead. EVERYTHING has a twist.jeff
Sep 16, 2009 12:27 PM
fox news because its entertaining, not news worthy. i get my news off google news, and howard100 news.No to Faux News
Sep 16, 2009 2:09 PM
Fox News is where news goes to die. None of their presenters has any credibility and I would take the work of Jeff Immelt over Rupert Murcoch any day of the week. Fox has never "hammered" any Republicans because it's too busy making them out to be the greatest, most virtuous political party of all time. Fortunately, people of intelligence know otherwise and they watch MSNBC.As one poster has already said, snopes.com has debunked a number of so-called "fair and balanced" Fox News pieces. Bill O'Reilly has been caught in a number of factual inaccuracies, only slightly more than the likes of Chris Wallace, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck. And it was Beck who was suspended and lost at last count 57 sponsors for his show because of his claims that President Obama is a racist.
Fox News is for fools who can't or don't want to take the time to think for themselves. They distort, you comply.

all TV news has become about ratings, How will they get the most viewers. It has become like an entertainer weekly show. News is suppose to be on the fact not on opinions. Or cutting out some of the fact to get more ratings.dont tread on me
Sep 16, 2009 4:21 PM
not defending glen beck but dont you find it odd that he has the ratings? he isnt a news source he's a comentator. fox has blasted republicans although maybe not as much as dems. their guests, commentators, guest "experts" have all taken shots at both parties. and again the other "news" orgs have made just as many factual errors. its the beast of 24 hr news cycles. what i like about fox is they actually ahow that it aint all old white men in the repb party. you never see a black repb on msnbc oh what i remember 1 time and they broke into some other news story.both news orgs paint a fantasy land. i'd take the leperchaun over chris matthews anyday. i watched the obama coverage right before the election and i'm suprised there wasnt icesickles under matthews desk. their anylists are activists ive googled a few of their professers and a few were professors the others i couldnt find. they all have immetts handup thier bums and are blah blah obama blah blah republicans blah blah blah. i see no actual difference of opinions in their comentators. they can almost be quoted word for word on every subject. kinda like THEIR teleprompters are plugged into a certin little house we all know thats white.
also let me say i am not a republican. i just cant side with these democrats. their not what the party use to be too many fringe ativist groups runnin the show. i absolutly HATE the green movement. i'm an outdoorsmen i was "green" before it was in vogue. its all a scam. i liked clinton for the most part. gore was an and still is a hypocritical idiot. i'm gunnin for hate mail with this next comment but i've always felt like i'm looked down opon by people that are democrats. i dont get that from republicans. the divide is deep in this country both sides have a little right here and their. they'll never come togeather though... enuff thread jackking. good day to all

Msnbc's Morning Joe or PBS in the morning, and Fox news in the afternoon will give you the most complete balanced information. If you skip Hannity at 8PM you won't miss much but Bill O is a must. Anyone who watch's MsNBC at night is most likely a communist.zwiddlez
Sep 16, 2009 6:10 PM
To dont tread on me:No hate mail here, what you say makes a lot of sense.
Cant stand MSNBC, it literally disgusts me to watch. Learned that long ago, so havent watched since.

Not a TV station but watched the Big Red Wrap- Up last night. We had the volume turned up as high as it would go and could hardly hear Pelini. He needs to speak up! Someone, please tell him. Was not a good broadcast.to rob g

Yeah rob, just like anyone who watches Fox News at night like yourself is most likely a fascist. Come to think of it, you probably are. Grow up already.rob g

I forgot to mention throwing in a little Blizter or Dobbs on Cnn when there is a commercial on Fox. It sounds like I have one of those nighttime communist Keith Oberman fans a little upset!dont tread on me

I like to watch any news that's even remotely communist or fascist and maybe even some separatist if I'm in the mood.to rob g
Sep 17, 2009 2:46 PM
Yeah I'm an Olbermann fan but that doesn't make me or him a communist any more than watching O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, or Dobbs makes you intelligent or witty. In fact, judging from the content of your posts it appears you're just the sort of unintelligent, half-witted fascist dope that makes up Fox's target audience. Us MSNBC viewers have intelligence and like to use it. Sorry about you.DP
Sep 18, 2009 6:25 AM
Why won't the big three report on the Acorn scandal? Olberman still spends his time talking about Watergate. You have to go to Fox to get the news. It may be slanted, but at least its there.LK
Sep 18, 2009 7:59 AM
Stop with the name calling and just wake up and smell the coffee. FOX NEWS IS THE BEST. Anything else and you know nothing. How about hearing something about ACORN the scandal. Obamie wants to run and hide since he was in to it. Makes you wonder if he is the same. I guess he proves it on a daily bases since he TAXES TAXES TAXES and finds new ways to send OUR money.rob g
Sep 18, 2009 8:15 AM
To communist Oberman fan, I think that someone who watches MsNbc and listens to PBS in the morning, and says that Hannity is not worth listening to is hardly a fascist. To qoute your great legislative hero Barney Frank, "debating with you is like arguing with a kitchen table!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tim

Notice how the non-fans of Fox go out of their way to insult and demean their viewership in their attempt to make a point? I think it's kinda funny. And very telling. Good job folks, your strategy is going to win over the other side. Yeah, you bet.
Amazing how it's only Fox who is biased, isn't it? The other news networks couldn't possibly be biased, and as everyone knows, those who don't watch Fox are the brightest people on the face of the planet. Every darn one of 'em is a rocket scientist.
During the last election cycle:
$104,184 donated to the Democratic Party by NBC and NBC Universal.
$3150 donated by NBC and NBC Universal to the GOP.
$45,508 donated to the DNC by CBS.
$966 donated to the GOP by CBS.
Yeah, no bias at the other networks.

It is fascinating how many left wingers call the other side, fascists. If you actually studied history, you would know that fascists were socialists. What exactly gave you the idea that Hitler was for less government? To rob g
Sep 18, 2009 7:58 PM
Hey there fascist Fox Fan, learn to spell "Olbermann". You haven't spelled it correctly in any of your posts, which is no surprise because you're typical of the illiteracy that confounds most fans of Faux News.As for you Timmy, you obviously haven't been paying attention. The insults started with the Fox News dolts..er, fans.
And to you LK: Fox News is an abomination. The so-called ACORN scandal you claim hasn't been covered by the mainstream media is another hoax invented by the right wing and Faux News. You idiots talk about sheeple but those with intelligence know who the gullible rubes are.
Tim
Sep 19, 2009 9:13 AM
To "to rob g." Oh but I have been paying attention. Starting with Mr. Phreakwars'"dumbed down" comment, it got personal early. It appears to me anyway, the contempt the non-Fox fans have for those with differing opinions is pretty obvious. C'mon folks, are you that insecure in your beliefs? You don't like Fox. Great. Good for you. Only a fool would believe that makes them superior in any way.
Attention Sheeple
Sep 19, 2009 6:31 PM
So "to rob g", you are up against dolts, rubes, idiots, and unintelligent, half-witted dopes!Even with this feeling of superiority, you avoided a very simple question. What exactly gave you the idea that Hitler was for less government?
In an effort to talk up to you, I will restate it. Why have you concluded that fascists are Right Wing, when historically, they were Left?

You Faux .vs MSNBC people should really consider giving up both and go back to just watching the local news. I might be a Democrat and I might hate Faux, but I really can't get into the over exaggerated commentary of MSNBC either. Both stations feed on political party lines. Channel 7 is still your safest bet.Rick
