COLUMBUS -- Husker Nation was out in force Saturday evening at the several sports bars in town that cater to the fans and provide them with pay-for-view access to the season’s most popular football games.

Tyson Weber, 4, son of Jeremy and Sara Weber of Columbus sat watching the pre-game show at the Sahara Lounge with his parents while practicing his touch down signal -- both hands in the air with a big grin on his face.

Tyson sported his black husker shirt for the first game of the season and said he likes to practice throwing the football with his dad.

Jeff Thiele, owner of the Sahara Lounge, 1819 Howard Blvd., fully expected to fill the establishment to it’s capacity of 450 before the game was finished. The Sahara features 25 plasma televisions for the fans to gather round while they wait for that first Husker touchdown.
