Okoboji!! Least that's what I would do. The fishing is great all over the region, then you also have Arnold's Park, you could rent a boat from the Marina, or jet ski's. There is also great places to dine like Smokin' Jakes, Woody's Pizza, Mrs. Lady's (gotta try an insane taco, it's insanely huge), Regal Beagle, etc.. The locals are real friendly, there is also night clubs, strip clubs, camping everywhere, the fish hatchery over in Orleans, all kinds of things to do to entertain yourself and your family for 4 days on $750 or less.

Rapid City SD offers a lot in a small area. Mount Rushmore, several caves, Badlands, Reptile Gardens and Bear Country USA are a few things to see.

I would go over to phreakwars house while he's in Okoboji and order $750.00 worth of stuff from the Shopping Network.

phreakwars: "I don't remember ordering a glow in the dark Superman costume with matching spatulas."

Go canoeing on the Niobrara River. I believe they estimate the average person spends about $250 for a weekend of canoeing. Take 3 friends along!

I would head for the Rocky Mountains. Forget the flat lands and hot days!

The Black Hills are awesome, especially if you have kids. In Rapid City there are a lot of free things to do. That will stretch your $750 a bit further.

Colorado Springs has a lot to see and do. Pikes Peak, Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods, etc. Nice in the fall.

Come to Omaha, check into a nice hotel downtown (check priceline for a good hotel in that area, you can get a great rate), swim in the indoor pool, walk around the old market, shop, eat, go down to the zoo, go to Mall of America, ride the boat, feed the geese, check out Joslyn or the Children's Museum...a great little vacation, not too far to drive, and a relaxing long weekend in a great city with lots to do. We recently did just one night downtown, and we live here in Omaha! Fun little staycation and not too expensive!

LOL, Jill, I realized what I typed just after I hit "post"! We were just in Minneapolis recently, and I was thinking about Gene Lahey Mall in Omaha when I posted - the combination led to a major typo! Sorry - Heartland of America Park! And it's a great place to go!
