I love 96KX or KZKX. Great country music and I like Mick the sidekick and Carol in the morning. Good way to start the day.

For years it was 92.3 but since they spend 8-10 hours a day doing talk radio I don't listen anymore. Right now 101.5 from the tri cities area is my favorite, 94.7 second. 93.5 has the same playlist they had in 1992.

In terms of FM, it was KZ100 until they got rid of all that talent to US92. I do still like Mr. Jeff Eiler. He is good. But now I prefer 96.1 or US92. I do love listening to Todd and Tyler on Z92. Wish that Columbus could have the testicular fortitude to get some radio personalities who are great. For AM, it has to be 1620 The Zone or 1000 ESPN in Chicago! I have not listened to the local 900 sport station and am wondering if they are even good at all. Does anyone know or can tell me?

Well There is several good ones around Nebraska but I stick with the ones we can actually pick up here in Columbus. 94.7 rock in Norfolk is my favorite followed be 93.5 the hawk just not a fan of the morning talk show.

101.9 In Omaha -

98.1 In Lincoln

Sorry - Local Ones - Way too much advertising and not enough music. The local ones have a long ways too go and not enough time to get there to get me to switch over. Kind of like reading the Columbus Telegram - just doesn't do it for me.

Except for local news on KJSK, I don't listen to AM or FM radio. Too much mindless DJ chatter and way too many commercials. I got a lifetime subscription to Sirius 5 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I especially like their dedicated 70's music channel, their classic and alternative rock channels, and their old school country channel. They play a lot of obscure songs and one hit wonders that you never hear anywhere else, and best of all there are no commercials.

Anything on XM/SIRIUS over anything on the public air waves in Nebraska. I will never give up my subscription and have to listen to the terrible stuff on the local stations.

105.3 MHz, WOW FM in Lincoln. One of the best stations I have ever heard, and I have listened to many. More people would be listening if they had a bigger signal.

Jun 29, 2009 7:42 PM
I would love to listen to 94.7 out of Norfolk, but I can't get a good enough feed at work. 93.5 has a ridiculous talk show in the morning...it's called radio people, play some music. they also play the same song twice in a row EVERY morning at 11 am. the song plays, they have station identification and the same song plays again and this has happened every day for over a week!!!! 101.1 isn't bad, but it doesn't always come in well either

The locals for news, weather, etc. Otherwise it's Sirius/XM radio for me. Beats the mindless chatter of the local DJ's.

i'm kinda partial to 93.5, but ur right, they do tend to play the same song twice among other things...i used to listen to froggy 98 alot, but have been listening to US92 more often b/c they report more on things happening in and around northeast NE. unfortunately, i can't pick them up past grand island, but i can get KZ100 all the way down to Clay Center. Jeff Eiler is what gets me going in the mornings!

on AM side, i like 1230 KHAS here in hastings, and really love listening to the all star polka show sunday mornings on 900...

Am I the only one in Platte County that listens to Sweet 98? 98.5 out of Omaha... I do not care for yappy dj's but at least Pat and JT in the am make you laugh and have a great rapport. If you like todays best pop music check it out....I used to listen to KSYZ out of Grand Island, but when their tower went down during the winter ice storm in the Kearney area I lost their signal and had to find a replacement.....just never really went back to them but they are in the top 5..... the NOON hour on KLIR is worth listening too now.

If stations want to win an audience over...it is all about playing requested music and BRAND NEW music....consider itself an ipod with unlimited potential...and GET RID of all the commercials!!!! 1 minute of commercials before the top and bottom of the hour are enough!!!! have an hour of each day brought to you by.......

KZ-100 all the way! From the morning show with Jeff to the mid days with Dave they keep my work day going. Got to love those guys...they make it sound like they are talking to you...not the mass of radio like some of the area stations do. Some area stations seem like because they have the $$ they can win over the listner. Not on my radio! I like the TRUE hometown feeling I get from KZ-100!!

Pandora is a lot of fun. The computer DJs often take us in unexpected directions. If you don't like the song, vote it down, and a new one starts. You can't beat that.

I used to hear music in my head until they switched my medication. Snappy beats and it got my toes to tapping. I wish I was still on my other medicine. I would love to ride a camel. Does anyone have a camel I could borrow for the weekend?

FM radio- 89.7 (it's awesome but you can only pick it up on the east side of Schuyler headed towards Omaha)

Sirius- Octane

But since I can't get either of those in Columbus, I'm stuck listening to my iPod.

Any station I can pick up that isn't a Columbus station. KLIR has to have 2 of the most annoying females on that I have ever heard in the mornings, KZ100 is nothing but endless market reports, although I do enjoy Jeff Eidler, and the Hawk has that stupid Bob And Tom show on all morning.

US92 out of Norfolk is my favorite radio station. They always have awesome contests and the DJs are actually funny and they take requests anytime you want them to. I also enjoy how they interact with the listeners. Also, they have DJs there round the clock...unlike the Columbus radio stations that are on autopilot and run overnight with nobody in the station. And trust me, from a past experience I had with one Columbus radio station, there is nobody running the music overnight.
Cant stand talk shows

I like listening to the police scanner. It's more entertaining than 4 hours of Bob and Tom pretending that everything they say is funny. Those guys are idiots!
