COLUMBUS -- Against Stanton Wednesday at Lakeview High School Field, the Platte Center-Lakeview Senior American Legion baseball team couldn’t overcome the first two innings.
Stanton scored seven runs in the first two frames, and went onto defeat Lakeview 10-3.
“We have to give Stanton credit. They came out and really hit the ball hard,” Senior coach Leonard Luebker said. “It was just too big of an obstacle to overcome. The guys played hard and never quit.”
