COLUMBUS -- A 30-year-old Columbus man called “an apple that didn’t fall far from the tree’’ was sentenced to prison Wednesday in Platte County District Court in connection with a series of drug deals in the community last fall.

Judge Robert Steinke sentenced Jacob Helkenn to two to four years in prison for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) stemming from a Nov. 10 drug sale.

“You have had a pattern of drug distribution in the community over a long period of time,’’ the judge told Helkenn in rejecting the defendant’s plea for a sentence of probation. “You are unlikely to succeed outside of a structured correctional setting.’’

Alright!! I still think there should be stiffer jail time for all the loser useres out there too!! They are worthless to society and just get innocent young kids addicted! Atleast theres one less creep on the street pushing his fix onto someone!
