Smith wins third Modified feature at Boone County

COLUMBUS -- Dylan Smith won his third Modified feature Friday at the Boone County Raceway.

The Osceola resident took the checkered flag over Columbus’ Jared Hoefelman and Rising City’s Shane Hiatt. Albion’s Mark Lueken came in fourth, while Albion’s Tyler Iverson was sixth. Columbus’ Dana Dankert took ninth.

Petersburg’s Randy Pelster took the Stock Car feature, finishing ahead of Neligh’s Jason Wilkerson, and Randy Hooker, of Humphrey, finished third. Joe Runquist, of Duncan, was fourth, ahead of Columbus’ Troy Bergman and Albion’s Dave Langan, who were sixth and 10th, respectively.

Lincoln’s Travis Albracht grabbed the Hobby Stock feature over Peterburg’s Bryant Borer and Cedar Rapids’ Jon Schalk. Albion residents Bob Rieck and Ryan Fajman claimed sixth and seventh, respectively, while St. Edward’s Chris Tenski was eighth.

Albion’s Mike Kelley took second behind Norfolk’s Robert Osborne in the Late Model’s feature. Norfolk’s Junior Coover was third.
