MADISON -- PrairieLand Resource Conservation and Development (PrairieLand RC&D) has been awarded a grant totalling $7,500 from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality’s Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grants Program.
The grant program provides funds each year for integrated waste management activities in Nebraska.
The funds awarded to PrairieLand RC&D have been earmarked for used computers and small electronics recycling projects.
Altogether 62 eligible grant application requests totaling $3,199,120 for integrated solid waste management facilities projects were received by the state. A total of $2,884,958 was awarded for 60 projects in Nebraska.
PrairieLand RC&D serves Boone, Colfax, Madison, Nance, Platte and Stanton counties.
