ST. EDWARD -- Judith W. Warner, 71, of St. Edward, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2008, after a short battle with cancer at the Boone County Health Center in Albion.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist-Presbyterian Church, St. Edward, with the Rev. K.F. Kaleuati officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, St. Edward.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Miller-Levander Funeral Home in St. Edward.

Judith Wylene (Carter) Warner, the daughter of Kenneth W. and Bertha (Kramer) Carter was born on February 23, 1937, at St. Edward. She attended school and graduated from St. Edward Public School in 1954. Judy went on to become a Registered Nurse from the Immanuel Lutheran School of Nursing in 1957.

On November 3, 1957 Judy was united in marriage to Ralph W. Warner at the Presbyterian Church in St. Edward. They lived and farmed in the rural St. Edward and Albion area. Judy was a mother and homemaker, she also helped out with the family business, J.W. Grain Company in St. Edward. Judy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and attending all of their events. She also enjoyed reading and writing, listening to music and playing the piano. She was also a Lueken racing fan and enjoyed watching the stock car races in Albion.

Judy was a member of the United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in St. Edward along with a member of the ladies group and the choir there.

She is survived by her children: Becky Warner of Colorado Springs, Colo., David Warner and wife Kami of Albion; five grandchildren: Matt and Terri Aubin, Brooke Warner and fiancé Ben Stuhr, Tanner and Morgan Warner; brother Jerry Carter and wife Lila of St. Edward; sister Janine Schafer and husband Von of Humphrey; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Westring of St. Edward; Doris Warner of Albion, and Bernita Warner of Fullerton; Brothers-in-law: Howard Warner and wife Roberta of York; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1990; brother Joseph W. (Billy) Carter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Paul, Fred, Gary, Earl, and Jesse Warner, Mamie and Lucille Carlson.
