It's the how and why.....Let me tell you about how we're going to go 4-8 this year. The reason WHY is because the athletes now go to other schools on the coast where the college atmosphere is more fun. You see, Lincoln is really cold in the winter. But, like FLorida for example, is sunny and warm and has lots of hot girls. So that seems to be where the athletes are going now. Can't understand it. But i know you'll all start yelling at me when we lose just like you did with Callahan.

5-7 this season. This preseason hype is great. We only have a couple more months until reality sets in. I know how dare I question the big red. What is wrong with me. I guess I realize why this coach is nicknamed Bo Bo the clown around the big 12. I can't wait for the first time he blows his cool and the true clown comes out. Only a matter of time folks. I know, I know, THE ORDER HAS BEEN RESTORED. LOL
it will take time

I sure hope everyone realizes we will not have the powerhouse we used to have the first year Bo is there and maybe never, but he will build it to a better level and they will come (back).

da da is just mad cause the NE girls don't dig him or is it her?
expectations
May 7, 2008 2:44 PM
The problem is that everyone expects a powerhouse now. If you state the obvious that this is not reality then people somehow take offense to this. People are expecting a big 12 championship in the next two years and this simply will not happen. The rest of the teams have caught us and some have even passed us. This is just reality folks, please don't be mad at me for stating what is fact.

Nebraska has always been cold, Florida has always been warm. You make no sense dadaduh. Its about developing.

Obviously dadadadaduh doesn't know much about college recruiting. Back when Dr Tom was at the helm, our recruits were considered way under par compared to the Florida, California, and Texas schools. Dr Tom took an average bunch and got them to play hard and become superstars. Calihan took a talented, great bunch of kids and couldn't motivate them to make their own bed. Let me say that again, we have a great group that Calihan recruited, but he couldn't get them to rise to that superstar level like Coach Tom did. I believe Bo is on the track to greatness. Bo has the passion to be great. He will find a way to get our kids back on track. Just wait and see.

The more I see or hear Bo talk about his steps to re-establish Nebraska football to what it should be, the more I feel comfortable with his hiring. I was excited to have him back in the first place but learning more about how his mind works makes me feel we have the right man in place to lead this program to future success.

Lets move on to something else more in season. NCAA football is still 4 months away.

Whatever the future brings, I think we would all agree it is going to be an improvement, even if it was just in entertainment value. We will see spirit and activity again instead of guys in the uniforms looking or playing like they wished they were elsewhere most of the time. We are back to a human level instead of Callahan's trying to make Nebraska the midwest USC.

I remember the "Florida and California get all the good players, and cold weather schools can't compete" argument from the late 80's and early 90's. Shortly thereafter, the Huskers won 3 national championships, and were a missed field goal from a 4th. It won't happen overnight, but the Huskers are on their way with Bo.

Florida may get better so-called "talent", but what was that previous Orange Bowl score again? 63 to what? Does anyone recall what all that "great talent" managed to score? But talent is not the only factor in building a successful team. NU has good talent, but no motivation. Now there is motivation. 5-7? I don't think so. Sure, there will be losses; but in those losses, we will hopefully see a maximum effort from a group of guys who won't quit, something we haven't seen for the past few years. There's more to talent acquisition than climate; the program matters, and I feel reasonably certain that Bo is the right guy to have as coach and motivator.

The "real" Columbus. I love that. :)

Sorry not gonna happen. Bo has nothing to do with us playing any teams in the Big XII south. That's up to the Big XII & all 12 teams. It won't happen anytime SOON!

I believe they will do better than most think! If nothing else they will be competitive and respond when they get hit in the chin.
Is everyone aware that Superman wears Bo Pelini pajamas when he's sleeping?
