HOLDREGE -- The Lakeview girls track team took second place in the girls shot put relay at the Central Conference Relays in Holdrege Saturday.
The Viqueens mark was 103-05 and they were just beat out by a 106-06 by Aurora. Ashley Wurdeman and Blaine Muhle finished third and fourth for Lakeview.
Lakeview also placed fourth in the girls discus throw relay and eighth in the girls long jump relay. Nobody placed in the discus, but Wurdeman was second with a jump of 16-03 in the long jump.
The Lakeview boys placed in six events, the shot put, discus, 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400, as they finished ninth out of 10 teams.
The Vikings ran a time of 3:38.8 to take second in the 4x400, and took third in the 4x200 with a time of 1:36.0.
