Our L.A. reporters have been movie-watching machines, and they offer their insight about two more soon-to-be-released films below. Both open in March and star many well-known actors. Check out what they've got to say about the upcoming film starring Amy Adams, Frances McDormand and newcomer Lee Pace, and be and be sure to scroll all the way down to get the report on the project starring Chris Cooper, Pierce Brosnan and Rachel McAdams.
"Last year’s Oscar nominee for Junebug, Amy Adams made another splash in the recent Enchanted. Next she plays a flibbertigibbet in 1930s London in Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Oscar winner Frances McDormand plays the title character, a British governess, who inadvertently organizes Adams’ life. But Adams is the reason to see the film. She’s so irresponsible and delectable you’ve got to love her. Look out for Pushing Daisies' Lee Pace, a poor but handsome piano player you want her to wind up with. Adams could well be a presenter at this year’s Oscars—assuming the writers’ strike gets settled—and McDormand is likely to be there on the arm of her husband, No Country for Old Men co-writer and co-director Joel Coen, whose film is up for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editor (under the pseudonym Roderick Jaynes).
Then there's Married Life. Recently seen as master spy Robert Hanssen in Breach, Chris Cooper is up to his elbows in skullduggery again in this suspenseful comedy co-starring Pierce Brosnan and Rachel McAdams. Again Cooper keeps it all inside as he navigates between his adoring wife (Patricia Clarkson) and an equally adoring mistress (McAdams) — until Brosnan decides to stir the pot a little. It’s a delicious comedy of manners set in pre-Mad Men 1949. My, they do puff on those cancer sticks."

I am most interested in the Street storyline. He is the best character on the show and was severely underused in season two.

I would love to see some more scenes with Matt Saracen in it. I want to know how he's doing after his whole, "why does everybody leave me?" scene. ekw

Tyra and Landry; an unusual and unlikely pairing brought about by extreme cicumstances and Landry's unwavering obsession. Paula

I'm anxious to see how EVERYTHING pans out on Friday Night Lights. Also would like to see a few of the more minor characters developed like Buddy Garrity and Santiago. Maybe Santiago will be Brookes next college football project since Smash is off to a smaller college? Most anxious about Tim/Lyla/Chris triangle though. With coach Taylor as his mentor I think with a few speed bumps in the road he will become a great man.Brianna

I really look foward to the show in GENERAL, but especially Matt Saracen. He's great, and I want to see what happens after his "meltdown" scene. Also- it would be the GREATEST THING IN THE WORLD if he and Julie got back together. Seriously, I cried when they broke up!! :( :( I too, am interested in if Street (Jason) is going to marry the woman carrying his child. YOU JUST CAN'T END LIKE THAT! There's still MUCH more story to be told!!!lori

I just want Friday Night Lights back on the air. I don't care what network- as long as I can get it- Just bring it back on! I loved all the story lines- especially Matt & Julie's.. Why is Edie Falco's picture next to this story? Does she love Friday Night Lights, too?Adina from Sweden

Oh, how wonderful! I was very worried FNL wouldn´t get a third season, but they can´t leave it like this. We need some closure.
And somehow I would really like to see Tim and Julie togehter. Definitely not Tim and Lyla, anyhow! Lyla can stay with her Christian boyfriend.

FNL is clearly better than any other drama NBC has on their network. All of the story lines are interesting, but anything involving Jason Street and all the adversity he has to overcome far outweighs the constant assault of romantic hook-ups on the show. Jason Street IS the "full heart" of Friday Night Lights.Vance Chapman

I think the show will be better off and have a longer life if they bring new younger people in. As this group moves out of high school a new group should be included.
Season 2 was good, but I think season 1 was much better and if the quality of season 1 had continued to season 2 the rating problems might not be a issue right now. Tyra and Landry bit this year was a bit over the top and really took away from the show. FNL needs to go back to good looking star football players get the hot girls, and the geeks are still dating the geek girls. More like real life. In real life Tyra would never even look at Landry, sorry thats just the way it is, and this story line has almost killed the show.
