Hooker, Krohn 2nd at Boone County

ALBION - Area drivers finished on the podium, but they were forced to settle for second and third places in all four feature races at Boone County Raceway Friday.

Randy Hooker of Humphrey couldn't stay with Justin Addison of Norfolk in the Stock Car feature as he captured runner-up honors. Ewing's Bill Graber claimed third place. Ron Grape of St. Edward placed fifth, while Dave Langan of Albion was seventh. Also, Mark Hooker of Albion came in ninth.

In the Hobby Stock feature, Greg Krohn of Albion finished second behind Bryan Molt of Cedar Rapids. Jon Schalk of Cedar Rapids placed third, one spot ahead of Michael Meysenburg of Albion. Kevin Krohn of Albion rounded out the top 10.

Mike Kelley and Mark Lueken, both of Albion, each finished in the top three, but they couldn't catch Robert Osborne of Norfolk. Kelley placed second while Lueken came in third.

Shane Thorne of Spalding took the checkered flag in the Modified feature, and Kyle Prauner followed. Jacob Anson was the top area driver as the Albion resident came in third. Shawn Olnes of Albion just missed a podium finish as he was fourth. Jason Gaver of Columbus placed seventh and, he was followed by Scott Krohn and Mike Trollope, both of Albion.
